Jakarta Provincial Government will continue the row village program. But, until now, they still search for the land that in accordance with the procedures.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, row village program was deemed violated the rules. Considering the land is not the private property of citizens.

"Row village program is actually continued, but we have no the land. Because almost all slums stood atop the certified land," he expressed, at City Hall, Friday (10/7).

Temporarily, program that can be realized now is flat tower. Citizens living on the riverbank will be relocated to the flats.

"If you build a house on the government land, do you want to build row village or flat tower? This is the problem. But the flat is the right answer," he stated. 

As for the information, this year, tens of thousands of flats are still being constructed, either it is financed by APBD or developer obligation.
